Shamanic Journey:
Entering the Shaman's Doorway
Two Saturdays, Sept. 18 and 25, 2010, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm in Aspen Hill-Silver Spring, MD
Sliding Scale $60 - $95

This introductory, two-part workshop will cover the basics of the shamanic journey method:
how to journey, tips for successful journeying, what helping spirits (aka "guardian angels" and
"power animals") are, how to travel, how to frame your question or intention, and how to "read" your journey.
No experience necessary. Appropriate for beginners as well as intermediate journeyers.
Initiatory Work to Deepen Your Journey Practice
October 16, 2010, 1:00-5:00 pm; in Takoma Park, MD;
Sliding Scale $30-$45
(Application and Directions)
Pre-requisite: meditation or basic journey skills
A challenging initiatory journey and more, designed to take your journey work to the next level for you.
(Note: Past and future one-year students of the Healers' School will receive
advanced credits for this class.)
Making Peace with the Dead and with Your Past
October 30, 2010, 1:00-5:00 pm; in Takoma Park, MD
Sliding Scale $30 - $45 (Application and Directions)
This ceremony will provide a powerful container in which you will be able to meditate or
"journey" to an ancestor, relative, or other deceased person you know but are still not at peace
with to get healing with that relationship at last. This healing helps the past stay
in the past and not "bleed" into the present and also opens up new future possibilities.
Liberating Yourself from the Past:
Healing an Ancestral Wound
October 31, 2010, 1:00-4:00 pm; in Takoma Park, MD
Sliding Scale $20 - $40 (Application and Directions)
This ceremony will provide a powerful container in which you will be able to
meditate or “journey” about something unhealed you've inherited from your lineage that is still
active in you and needs healing, then get guidance on how to heal that wound, addiction, habit,
or pattern.
Shamanic Ethics for Practitioners
November 5, 2010, 7:00-9:30 pm; in Takoma Park, MD
Sliding Scale $20 - $40
(Application and Directions)
A review of best ethics practices and much journeying on various ethical
considerations that can arise when journeying or doing healing work for others. Appropriate for
new and experienced healers. (Note: Past and future one-year students of the Healers' School will receive
advanced credits for this class.)
Power Dance Ceremony
November 6, 2010, 6:30-9:30 pm, location TBA
Sliding Scale $20 - $40
(Application and Directions)
This ceremony is a deep listening from your stillpoint to see if a helping spirit
will give you a song that invokes their presence or power to bring healing for the community
or world into the ceremony. Our focus will be on midwifing the paradigm shift from a love of power
to the power of love. (Note: Past and future one-year students of the Healers' School will receive
advanced credits for this class.)
Shamanic Healer (Practitioner) School
January 2011-March 2012, one weekend a month for 13 months, approx. 200
hours of training; in Takoma Park, MD
Sliding Scale $850 - $1,500
(Application and Directions)
Pre-requisites: meditation or journey skills + ability to understand guidance from your helping
spirits
A complete training program for those who hear the Shamanic Practitioner call to do
healing work for others; teaches all major healing modalities (except depossession). Includes soul retrieval, power
animal retrieval, extraction, psychopomp work, vibrational healing and much more. Please ask for
detailed syllabus.
Practitioners’ Roundtable and Journey
Date TBA Free but RSVP requested; please bring a snack or beverage to share

For all who, whether new or experienced, occasionally or often provide shamanic
healing for the Land, for Humans, or for other Beings. Open discussion (1:00-3:45),
with a closing journey (3:45-5:00). Bring your questions, issues, concerns, changes
you’re witnessing in your practice, and ways you see shamanism evolving. Feel free to submit
these in advance also, or place them anonymously in a basket or just ask/say them at the event.
Although the event is free, please register so we know how many are coming. Our first gathering
was July 18; the second one is in the planning stages!

What is "Sliding Scale?" "Sliding scale" allows you to pick the price that's most appropriate for your budget and situation within the given range. For example, if the workshop fee is $60-$95, you could pay $60 or $75 or $90 or $95.
