This class is a brief review of Betsy Bergstrom's powerful "path-oriented" and "heart-centered" approach to basic depossession work that covers most common depossession situations. Not a full training but a great review for those desiring a refresher or an update before taking the advanced depossession training.

Advanced Depossession Training for Healers (301 DEPO)
Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 9, 10, 11, 12, 2017, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. (ends Sunday at 5:00) in Takoma Park, MD
PREREQUISITE: Basic Depossession Training or Experience
$225-$600 (Sliding Scale); Registration; Directions
This class shares Betsy Bergstrom's powerful "path-oriented" and "heart-centered" approach to depossession work. Most depossession cases involve deceased human beings, but sometimes the possessing spirit is demonic, Fey, Elemental, interplanetary, or some other being. Sometimes these are beings who have died; other times they are alive. Although, like humans, they may require healing before going to their next destination, such cases often have different protocols, portals, and destination than normal human crossings. This course, which includes lots of practice, will teach those who are called to this vital work how to tend to it safely and with compassion.

In his customarily poetic style, anthropologist WadeDavis asserts that there is no such thing as an indigenous person; rather, the world's peoples show that there are other ways of being, other models of reality. "Native" peoples are not closer to the earth than developed cultures and also are not sentimental "noble savages." They are not failed attempts at being us or being modern but unique manifestations of what it means to be human. These are not destined to fade away but rather are being driven to extinction by identifiable human forces. He explains how belief systems change how you relate to landscapes, such as if you are raised to see the forest as a sacred being that will guide your destiny versus a "resource" to be converted into lumber. He discusses the links between ethnological diversity and biological diversity. Do the movie only, or come for shamanic journeying from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with your dinner and stay for the movie!
