NEW! Nature's Detox for Your Home & Body ONLINE WEBINAR!
Saturday, April 4, 1:30-4:30 pm
$20-$45, sliding scale
      Most home and body care products--even many products labeled "organic" and "natural"--contain toxins that pollute your body and the air, water, soil, and other land and sea animals and plants. They also make you more likely to be attacked by wild predators when you are hiking or out in the natural world. Learn how to easily make or buy your own safe home and body care products: shampoo, deodorant, temporary hair color streaks, mascara, and more. You usually save money too! If the Webinar link doesn't work, email me.

Shamanic Journey ONLINE EVENT!
Saturday, April 11, 4:00-6:00 pm
Free but RSVP & donations welcome, $5-$20 suggested sliding scale (scale explained below)
     Little instruction is given, so you need to read the free information on the Journey page of my website before attending. Followed by a dinner break at 6:15 and shamanic movie night at 7:00 p.m. Do only the journey only or only the movie, or do both! If the Webinar link doesn't work, email me.

Movie Night: Rights of Nature ONLINE EVENT!
Saturday, April 11, 7:00-9:15 pm
Free but RSVP & donations welcome, $5-$20 suggested sliding scale (scale explained below)
      Rights of Nature illustrates a powerful effort that's becoming a movement! The law has sided with corporations for centuries. Internationally-renowned environmental lawyers promote a new jurisprudence demanding legal rights for the living world to protect communities and preserve ecosystems. If the Webinar link doesn't work, email me.

In-Person Events: Fragrance-Free Tips
HELP REDUCE INDOOR AIR POLLUTION & HELP ALL BREATHE EASY
Those wearing strong scent may be turned away. Please help us make this event available to me and others with chemical sensitivities by keeping your clothes, body, and hair fragrance-free. For the full list, see my website; some of the biggest offenders are

  • laundry products (detergents, fabric softeners, dryer sheets);
  • cosmetics and hair products (scented shampoos, conditioners, gel, mousse);
  • scented moisturizers; and
  • incense, essential oils.
Note: "Natural" and "organic" products are still loaded with fragrance.

EASY HAIR TIP! If you don't want to switch to a fragrance-free or "free and clear" shampoo and hair products, try wearing a scarf or shower cap that completely covers your hair. If you prefer, you can wash your hair using no scented shampoo, just a tablespoon of baking soda gently massaged into your scalp and rinsed well, followed after rinsing with 1 tablespoon of apple cider or other vinegar in a cup of water.

EASY CLOTHES TIP! If you don't want to switch to a non-scented detergent with "free and clear" on the label, many people find it simplest to set aside clothes to wear here that have been through a special wash of 1 cup baking soda OR one cup of vinegar (don't use both in the same washload) to remove the worst of the fragrance. Use just baking soda and water, no detergent, unless it's labeled "Free and Clear", and no softener or dryer sheets. Some scent will still be present, as it takes many washings to remove the fragrance, but it's usually good enough. Once washed with soda, you can store the clothes in a tightly closed box or plastic bag away from fragrant clothes or in the trunk of your car if you have one.

What is "Sliding Scale?" "Sliding scale" allows you to select the price that's most appropriate for your budget and situation within the given range. For example, if the workshop fee is $60-$95, you could pay $60 or $75 or $90 or $95. Those who pay at the higher levels are making a donation to help those in financial need. Please remember that for a sliding scale to work, we need the same number of people with means to generously pay more to balance the needs of those who can afford less.
